There was only one rule in CS&L’s Halloween Costume Contest – at least one item in an employee’s costume must be purchased at a Goodwill Store. CS&L employees accepted the challenge and showed up on Halloween morning as scarecrows, bank robbers, farmers, fairies, chefs and more.
The contest was held in celebration of Halloween, of course, and as part of the new “CS&L CAREs” initiative, which provides an opportunity for employees to learn about and support a different non-profit each month. For the month of October, the focus was on Goodwill and how the organization provides jobs and services through gently used donations.
“We do something silly every Halloween. Last year, we decorated pumpkins and employees voted on their favorites. With our new CS&L CAREs focus this year, we wanted a philanthropic tie to our festivities. The employees enjoyed the challenge of a DIY costume, and the rule that it had to have an element purchased at Goodwill turned it into a scavenger hunt for many. We’re proud to support such a valuable organization in our community and at the same time provide a fun day for our team,” said Marissa Rossnagle, Marketing Director of the firm.
In November, CS&L will hold a holiday food drive for families in our community.
